Affordable, tasty food and a rail link into Bangkok that beats sitting in traffic.

The concourses stretch on forever and immigration lines can be a slog after a long flight.
Suvarnabhumi is where a lot of Southeast Asia trips begin, and it has a certain scrappy energy. The walks from the gates to immigration felt endless when I landed jet-lagged, but the food downstairs made up for it. Skip the taxi queue and take the train into the city if you can.
