Terminal 5 is well designed with good shopping and plenty of places to grab a proper meal.

Arrivals immigration can be painfully slow when several long-haul flights land together.
If you're flying through Terminal 5 you'll find one of Heathrow's better spaces, modern and easy to navigate. The frustration is always the border queue on arrival, which tested my patience after a red-eye. The express train into London, at least, is a fast way out once you're through.
