Solid gateway to western China
Functional and reasonably tidy, handling a heavy flow of domestic travelers without much drama.
Limited English support and dated sections in the older terminal can slow you down.
Chengdu's airport does a competent job moving large numbers of domestic passengers through each day. My connection was uneventful and the terminal, while not fancy, was clean enough. The main challenge for a foreign visitor is the thin English signage, so keep your booking details handy.
