The inter-terminal train helps you cover the distances and there are family-friendly spots to regroup.

Connections between certain terminals feel far apart and the walks add up with kids in tow.
Houston's Bush airport is another big Texas hub where distances are the defining feature. We used the connecting train to shuttle between terminals, which helped with the children and our bags. It's perfectly serviceable, just be ready to walk and don't book the tightest possible layover.
