Southern charm and rocking chairs

The atrium lined with rocking chairs is a genuinely relaxing spot to wait between flights.

Cons

It's a busy connecting hub, so gate areas can get crowded at peak banks.

Charlotte surprised me with how pleasant the central atrium is, complete with rocking chairs and plenty of light. As a connection point it's efficient and the staff carried that easy Southern friendliness. Food isn't its strong suit, but for a quick change of planes it does very well.
