Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is DCS Digital Code Solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Carl-von-Linde-Str. 27, 65197 Wiesbaden, Germany. Contact details: see Imprint.

2. Data collected on visit

When you access the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary server log data (IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, time). These are used exclusively for secure operation and will be deleted after 7 days at the latest. The non-reversible IP hash (abuse protection) saved for each review is deleted after 30 days. Legal basis: Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f DSGVO.

3. Reviews

When writing a review, we collect your chosen display name (first name + initial or pseudonym), your email address, the airport and visit details you enter (airport, terminal, traveller type, date) and the review text. Display name and review content are published; the email address is not displayed and is used only for confirmation and any follow-up questions. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the form and using the confirmation link.

Before publication you confirm your email via a link (double opt-in). To prevent spam and duplicate reviews we store an irreversible hash of your IP address with each review (no plaintext IP). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in abuse prevention).

You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect (Art. 7 Para. 3 DSGVO) and request that your review be deleted - informally using the contact details provided in the legal notice.

4. External Services & Third Country Transfers

To make reviews available in several languages, the review text may be sent to external translation services (DeepL, Germany/EU, and/or MyMemory). Only the review text is transmitted — no personal data such as your name or email address.

To make the reviews available in multiple languages, the review texts (title, pros, cons, report) are sent to a machine translation service. Depending on the configuration, Google Translate (Google LLC, USA), DeepL (Germany/EU) and/or MyMemory are used. For Google this involves a transfer to a third country (USA); A transmission may contain personal information if you provide it in the free review text. Please do not include any personal data from third parties in the review text. Legal basis: your legitimate interest in multilingual availability or your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a/f, Art. 49 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO).

5. Emailing

We send confirmation and notification emails via the service provider STRATO AG (Germany) as a processor (Art. 28 DSGVO). Your email address will be processed.

Web analytics (Google Analytics)

Only with your explicit consent do we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Ltd. It stores cookies and processes usage data (e.g. pages visited, approximate location, browser and device) with IP anonymisation so we can improve the website. In doing so, data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future via the 'Cookie settings' link in the footer. Without consent no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.

6. Cookies

This website only uses technically necessary cookies: 'NEXT_LOCALE' (selected language), 'fr_cookie_ok' (confirmation of the cookie notice, 1 year) and - only in the admin area - 'fr_admin' (login session, 8 hours). No tracking/analysis cookies and no external fonts are used.
