A layover that feels like a treat

Pros

Elegant, immaculate, and full of comfortable spaces to relax, including that famous giant lamp bear.

Cons

It's a big terminal, so distant gates mean a decent walk or a ride on the internal train.

Hamad has become one of my favorite places to break up a long trip. The design is genuinely beautiful, everything gleams, and there are plenty of quiet corners to unwind between flights. The playful oversized teddy bear sculpture never fails to make me smile as I pass through.
