Excellent rail connections and a central European location make it a natural hub.

Cons

Short transfer windows here can be genuinely stressful given the walking and security recheck.

Frankfurt is a serious hub and the onward train links are among the best you'll find. Where it tests you is the connection, especially if your inbound runs late and you face another security check. When everything lines up it's smooth German efficiency, but the margins can be thin.
