Pros

The newer terminal is comfortable and the immigration hall moved faster than I feared.

Cons

The road into São Paulo can be jammed for ages depending on the hour.

Guarulhos is the main way into São Paulo and it does the job without much fuss. The updated terminal felt reasonably modern and getting through arrivals wasn't the ordeal I'd been warned about. The real test is the traffic between the airport and the city, which can swallow an hour easily.
