Good local food, calming design touches, and a rail link that ties into the regional transit network.

Cons

Fog delays are a recurring fact of life and can ripple through your whole day.

San Francisco's airport gets the details right, with better-than-average dining and a genuinely pleasant feel in the newer terminals. Connecting to the regional train made getting into the city simple. The one thing you can't design away is the fog, which occasionally scrambled the departure boards.
